Your lane is the best lane.

Imitation, Silence, Fake support. Three things that typically accompany growth in a positive direction. Also, who is your one person?

Taken in Tahoe

There’s this weird space of doing something you really feel called to do and it works and it flows and it’s great - but - it’ll just never be that important to anyone else.

(I’ve always used dashes (—) they aren’t just a chatgpt thing. If anything, chatgpt copied me.)

The less exciting of a thing that you do, the more support comes with it. It’s because this miniature thing doesn’t strike a chord of inadequacy in others. They can take a breath of “phew” after hearing about your win because they still feel equal to or better than you.

Usually, content & fulfilled people don’t do this shapeshifter support thing.

True support is unlike anything in the world. It is the most incredible form of love that there is. It resonates much differently than fake support.

Maybe the people around you don’t mean to be fake supporters. They simply don’t have the capacity to give true support. Either way, your body can feel the difference. I hope you’ve felt the true stuff because it’s sublime.

I always find that this fake support comes with two other friends - imitation and silence. Somewhat like the stages of grief, these 3 stages flow seamlessly into each other or even co-occur.

What’s kind of serendipitous about this occurring around you is that it’s only getting you closer to the ultimate goal: resonance, magnetism, passion, and authenticity.

There’s no way to take everything you have to every level of your life.

Thank god.

I can’t imagine keeping up with all the dynamics that I’ve ever had at every stage of life. It’s just not natural. We mirror the Earth and the greater Universe. Not once have they said “yeah, keep it all!”.

I’ve shed a lot in my short time here. I’m learning to see it as liberation rather than something that’s being ripped from me.

All this to say…

Who is your ‘one person’?

Not in the way you may be thinking.

This is the person who keeps you small in your head. The person who pops up when you’re about to post, say the thing, apply for this, buy that, wear the thing, eat the thing, etc etc etc.

As an example, I catch myself before posting things that may be “too political”. I have a person in my head that I imagine is rolling their eyes. I choose, for my own growth, to post anyway. Especially considering that nothing is political anymore. It’s just human rights vs not.

These are the moments that provide priceless teachings. Take them as a guide towards your most full-bodied self.

Now combine the two.

If you get any of the imitation, silence, or fake support - use it.

If you get any voices in your head saying that you’re doing the most and that one person is going to talk shit - use it.

Information is fabulous. Use it to your advantage.

Inputs —> alchemy —> outputs.
